Sh. Amarendra Dhari Singh is a name synonymous with philanthropy. A successful politician and businessman, he has been actively involved in a series of philanthropic activities.
Sh. A D Singh has always been actively engaged in making generous contributions towards nation-building and has proudly carried forward his family’s centuries old tradition of philanthropy. His contribution ranges from sponsoring the education of the under-privileged to building and supporting libraries.
His efforts in providing education through his ‘Urmila Singh- Pratap Dhari Sinha’ Foundation epitomizes his love for the state of Bihar and a strong desire to reach out to those in need. The foundation and all its expenses are managed by him Singh and it does not take any kind of financial aid from other individuals or organizations, as he believes in making a difference on its own.
His donation of Rs.1 crore to Kirori Mal Collage, University of Delhi forthe renovation of its auditorium reflects his efforts of giving back to society, as he completed his higher studies from that college.
He has also been sensitive towards the cause of Tibetans and has made concerted efforts to help them highlight their issues.
